We got engaged during our 2 week holiday in South Africa and were hoping to get the ring while there, if possible. We paid a visit to Goldsmiths Knysna after finding their website, and were immediately impressed. Darryl and Anita were so lovely and gave us a really helpful introduction to the process of selecting and buying a diamond, something we knew nothing about. We knew straight away we'd be delighted to give them our business, and we are so happy we did.

After discussing our ideas Darryl got straight to work with our design, sending us some images that evening, and we had it finalised within 24 hours. On our third morning in Knysna we were presented with a beautiful selection of diamonds they had sourced for us to choose for the ring - definitely my favourite part of the process! They were all stunning and far exceeded anything we had been shown in the shops we had visited previously. We picked our favourite and left it in Darryl's capable hands to create the finished product, as we were leaving Knysna that day.

The ring was couriered to our hotel in Cape Town the day before we flew home. It was a little nerve wracking opening the box and hoping it would look as good in real life as it did on a screen but honestly I could not have loved it any more. The ring is exquisite - the diamond is stunning and the design is just beautiful. We haven't stopped looking at it since, and my fiance loves it as much as I do (luckily!).

Darryl and Anita made the whole process a total pleasure, and we love that we both had a part to play in designing the ring I'm now wearing. We cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

Goldsmiths provided us with the best service levels we have ever experienced.

Our first contact was a tentative email enquiry about a bespoke wedding ring; Within hours Darryl had taken our crude, hand-drawn, designs and turned them into 3D pictures of beautiful gold rings, featuring both 1 and 8 hearts.

On visiting Knysna we met Darryl and Anita, the wedding finger was measured with great care, we changed the number of hearts to 7, ordered the ring, and agreed to return, just four days later.

To our great joy the unique, hand-made, ring was ready and perfect in every way.
